Description |
Rhizome creeping; rhizome scales lanceolate in outline, margins subentire with some prolongations; pseudo-midrib darker. Sterile fronds closely spaced, with gemma at apex, membranous or subcoriaceous. Sterile stipe 12-20 cm long, brown, mat, grooved, scales at base same as rhizome scales. Sterile lamina olive green when dry, ovate-lanceolate in outline, 30-35 x 9-10 cm, apex tapering to a point, sometimes proliferate, base closely wedge-shaped, margin entire or wavy; venation forming elongate costal areoles, without included veinlets and a series of irregular areoles, sometimes containing embedded veinlets; free veins near the margin. Fertile fronds narrow, lanceolate in outline, margin entire or wavy. Fertile stipe 60-65 cm long; fertile lamina 20 x 2-3 cm. |
